The Season Between

There is a season we do not talk about very often.

Not the beginning of something new. Not the moment of arrival. Not the milestone that marks a clear before and after.

The season between.

It is the space where progress feels slower than expected. Where plans are still taking shape. Where the next chapter is not fully visible, but the previous one is already behind us.

Most of us spend more time here than we realize.

The Pressure to Arrive

We live in a culture that celebrates outcomes. New jobs, completed projects, major accomplishments, and visible transformations all receive attention because they are easy to recognize.

What receives far less attention is the quiet work that happens before those moments.

The waiting. The learning. The small decisions repeated day after day.

Growth is rarely as dramatic as we imagine it will be. More often, it looks like consistency. It looks like patience. It looks like continuing forward even when there is little evidence that anything is changing at all.

Learning to Trust the Process

The season between can feel uncomfortable because it asks us to trust what we cannot yet see.

It asks us to believe that not every meaningful step produces an immediate result.

A garden does not bloom the day after it is planted. A foundation is built long before a home takes shape. The same is true for personal growth, creativity, and the life we hope to create.

Some of the most important work happens beneath the surface.

An Invitation to Pause

If you find yourself in a season between, perhaps the goal is not to rush toward the next milestone.

Perhaps the invitation is simply to be present where you are.

To recognize the progress that may not yet be visible.

To trust that growth is still happening.

And to remember that becoming is just as important as arriving.
